  Background    Des Moines City Subdivision is made possible, in part, by a grant provided by the Iowa Department of Economic Development to provide housing to moderate income families. Lots 1-7 and lots 20-26 are available at the listed price to those families who qualify under certain income guidelines as set out by HUD for Van Buren County. Please contact KEDA (Keosauqua Economic Development) for guidelines to determine if you qualify.

  Tax Abatement    The City of Keosauqua currently offers tax abatement for new construction in the Des Moines City Subdivision. You may request tax abatement for 3 year 100% exemption or 10 year partial exemption - please ask for details.
